  1. There are several ways to get the boil to erupt & drain. Heat helps. Make a poultice of pulped cabbage leaves and leave on for several hours or until results. Liquid extract of Echinacea root helps kill the infection. Goldenseal root powder is fast-acting & effective. Moisten the boil & sprinkle on the powder, cover with bandage. Tea Tree oil or Camphor oil will alleviate the pain while you wait for healing.

Internally, Burdock root helps get toxins out of the system. Also drink Dandelion root tea to speed purification through kidneys.

If boils are persistent, check for underlying causes, such as diabetes, kidney inflammation, anemia, etc.

  2. There is only one major alternative way for treating a boil. That is to apply a hot compress to the area for 30 minutes every few hours. It should burst and drain on its own. After it does burst, you should keep the area clean with an antiseptic soap and try to avoid contaminating other areas of the skin with the drained matter. You should never try to squeeze or lance the boil yourself because you could spread the infection and make it worse. If this does not work then you can have your doctor surgically drain them and prescribe antibiotics.

  3. Take a tablespoon of Turmeric and mix it with a half a glass of water. Drink this daily...the boils will be gone in a few days. I can almost guarantee it....Its the first thing that worked for me. This will rupture any boils and prevent new ones from forming. Also purchase some Boil Ease...but after drinking the turmeric for a week...you won't need the boil ease. Compresses help for the immediate moment..but they don't stop the problem from the inside..the turmeric cleanses all that out.

  4. Debra has it right. Apply a hot compress, as hot as you can stand it. It may take doing this several times. This will start to relieve the boil immediatly as opposed to waiting days with tumeric. Don't try to rupture it.
