How do you remove a timestamp off a digital photo sing the photoshop clone tool?

i just downloaded a photoshop cs3 free trial solely for the reason that i need to remove timestamps off photography that i plan on selling.

ie been looking all day and cant seem to figure it out.

i tried using the heal tool after te cone tool and it just makes the are darker and awkward looking.

could someone tell me how to do it?

  1. The easier way to do this without being too noticeable would be to clone over the time stamp along with using the healing brush, which takes samples from the surrounding area and blends it in.  I would be very happy to do this for you if needbe, all free of charge, and the files would be deleted.  If this is the case, send me an e-mail at Trustingstylus@centurytel.net

  2. The same way you use the clone stamp everywhere else.

    You find a seamless area, and clone it over the timestamp.

    You can always disable the timestamp in your camera's settings.

  3. click on the clone stamp tool on your tools pallet. then press alt then click
