How do you remove a tragus earring? (captive bead earring)?

i got my tragus pierced in the middle of july. Unfortunately I need to take it out for my volleyball games. Is it possible to take the earring out and put it back in each game? (i have a captive bead earring). Also how do you remove the earring? how long can you wait before the hole closes?
