How do you remove an original moderator?

I am a new moderator for our local Scout's group. The old Cubmaster was the moderator. This person is no longer involved with our Pack but yet they are still deleting things from the group and is the one to approve membership and messages. I really do not have any control over this group. They are the ones that started the group, but I am now running the Pack and should be allowed to fully moderator this site. I cant ban users, set files to be sent automatically to new members, delete messages, appoint other members as moderators, etc. I hate to start a new group and I have asked the old Cubmaster to turn these duties over to me, but have not received any feedback from them since. Please let me know if there is a way that I can take them off as a moderator and be able to do all tasks within this group.

  1. unless the actual owner/ moderator gives you owner privileges there is nothing you can do, once they change your status to owner and give you full acess then you can remove them by going into management section of your group and clicking on there name then remove member but if they dont first change your status to full acess your not going to be able to do anything and they could remove you.

  2. I'm sorry, but only the owner of a group can appoint moderators and assign moderator privileges.

  3. as said, you cant remove that owner-

consider creating a new group and move your Pack over to it
