How do you remove fir strips from concrete?

  1. You can use a crow bar (sorry can't spell) to wedge in between the concrete and the firing strip. You still might have to do some patch work after. Best of luck on your project!


  2. They should be removed while the concrete area is just beginning to set, unless they were left in as expansion joints...if so there's no easy or good way to remove them, other than prying and breaking off pieces as you go. If you are in a cold/ frost area, you really should replace them with an expansion joint of some sort.
