How do you remove makeup from childrens clothing?

My daughter received glamor girl makeup for her birthday and has it all over a pair of pants. It has left big greasy spots on her pants. I would like to know of ways to get it out. Please only answer with tried remedies. These are nice dress pants and I don't want the color to fade or the pants to be ruined. Thank you.

  1. I used to get that stuff on my clothes when I was little, and my mother used liquid dish soap (not dishwasher soap, the stuff you use to hand wash) to get it out.  It's worth trying.  It at least won't fade the color.  Good luck!

  2. Folex is an excellent stain remover which can also be used on clothing. My granddaughter got a makeup kit for her birthday and she and her friends got it all over her bedroom carpet.  I went around the room and sprayed each spot and with little effort, every stain came out!

I realise you are talking about a pair of dresspants.  I have used it in my laundry.  Have a look at their website, and I bet they even have a toll free number that you could call and talk with them about it.  But buy the Folex anyway! (about $4.00 per bottle at Home Depot) It's a "must-have" in every household!

    Best wishes!

  3. Most liquid laundry detergents should work.  I prefer Tide.  Pretreat the stains by rubbing in the liquid on the pants while they are dry.  Let it sit a while to soak into the fabric. Launder in cold water.  Check to be sure the stain is gone before drying the pants.  If not, repeat. You may also try using OxyClean in the wash water after pretreating.
