How do you remove name brands from the lense?

I bought some glasses from a friend and they still have the "Versace" label on them. will alcohol take it off?

  1. Is it on the lens? If it's on the front of the frame then it's fake so be careful.


  2. Sounds like demo lenses that come with all frames initially.  You need to put prescription lenses in them....demo lenses can shatter and cause permanent damage to your eyes.

  3. Shouldn't that be on a clear sticker that you just peel off?  I don't think it's painted on there.  If it is, that's really inconvenient.

  4. Those are the lenses that come with the frame that are just for show. They are not meant to be worn.

    Not only will they scratch up in no time, they are probably wavy too , that will cause eyestrain.

    They have to be removed, and have real lenses put in, even if they are non- prescription lenses.

    Thats why the name won't come off...they are meant to be thrown out.
