  1. Pour some CLR into a plastic storage bag and tape it over the head. Make sure there's enough CLR to cover the entire head.  Let it sit 24 hours.

  2. First of all you need to remove the shower head.

Get a 2 pairs of adjustable pliers, and 2 old rags. Put one rag over the shower  pipe coming out of the wall, adjust pliers so the are sized to hold pipe as you grip them, now take other pliers and put on shower head at the very back of it where it goes onto pipe.Hold the pipe out of the wall still and turn the shower head counterclockwise to remove it.

*You can clean it in place but some of the crud and debris will still be inside the shower head.

Now soak the entire head in some Distilled vinegar - much cheaper than CLR or other stuff.I also like to take a paper clip and bend it out so you can stick the end of it in all the holes to clean the remaining debris out.

Note: Also run the shower without the shower head for a few minutes, this will flush out any particles in the line. * Hold a rag over the pipe a little so the water does not splash at the back of the shower.

    s***w shower head back on.

You may have a volume reducer in the shower head, this is a water saving little plastic insert, if you want more pressure and water - take it out.

  3. try leaving it soaking in vinegar, sometimes that helps

  4. CLR, of course. As the name says, it takes care of calcium, lime, and rust.
