i have tried rubbing alcohol, fantastic, nail polish remover and tooth paste. the only thing coming off is the paint! it is a rented house, so the least amount of paint removal would be ideal. i need to get it off in the next few days, because im moving.

  1. Mr. clean magic eraser and nail polish remover.

  2. I have used nail polish remover to remove sharpie from anything. It really does work. I have tried it on a wall before. It works on that too. Use a cotton ball and dont be to hard when u rub it with it. If u rub to hard the paint will come off. Do it very lightly. It worked on my painted wall. Best of luck!

  3. She is right about the Mr. Clean magic eraser. it cleans anything from the wall, really. it is cheap too!

  4. Most of the things will take the paint off.....

Like acetone or the magic eraser...

Try isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) 99percent.

Do not get 70 percent. It is not pure. It will be hard to find 99percent pure, but a real pharmacy should have. SWAN is a brand of such alcohol.

Most rubbing alcohol is only 70percent which will not clean it.....

  5. have you tried Mr.Cleans Magic Erasers...that worked a lot on my walls with other things.........

  6. Don't remove it, paint over it!  If your wall is white, buy some Kilz http://www.kilz.com/ stainblocker, and two coats will usually cover anything, from black Sharpie to red fruit punch.  I use Kilz often in my home to touch up grubby spots on my white walls.

Kilz can be bought in small spray cans, so your expense should be under $5.00.

  7. Your best bet would be the Mister Clean Magic Eraser. Otherwise, if that doesn't work, you'll have to prime the area and repaint. The Eraser is worth a try!
