u don't need a special tool,but it would be nice,u can use two butter knifes out of the kitchen and put some tape on the ends and put a knife in the side and push back alittle and stick the other almost at the top and push it back and it snaps out and do the others the same (theirs 4 snaps,then you need a socket set to take the radio out,and just puh it til it snaps back on

get the special removal tool. take the trim off stick them in the sides and it should pop out
