I've used DIF liquid concentrate and DIF spray gel along with a wallpaper scorer device. Some pieces have come off, but for the most part there's quite a bit of paper still stuck on the wall. What do I need to do/use next?

  1. I used a steamer with a wall paper attachment that got about 3000 square feet of wall paper off in about 2 hours without any harmful fumes or messy goos to clean up. Didn't hurt the sheet rock either.

  2. Put some hot water(nothing else) in a Windex type of bottle and spray the wallpaper so that it soaks up the water, let it sit a little while, spray the area again and scrap it off with a scraper.

If the wallpaper has a wax film on it, try to remove it by just peeling it back and follow the previous steps. Hope it works for you, did for me many times.

  3. I would suggest you use very hot soapy water ( laundry detergent would be good) wear rubber gloves and with a large sponge wet the area with this soapy mixture, let the water soak into the area of the wall paper for about 3 or 4 minutes - rub it off with a plastic scraper.  I know this is tedious work - but for me it was the only way.

Then again, using hot water and vinegar, wash the wall to remove the left over glue.

  4. Try liquid fabric softener. Just get the cheapest that you can find. Pour into a spray bottle, and dillute with a little water. Or you can use it full strengh. Spray it on and let it sit for a while. It should come off pretty easlily, but you will probably still have to use a scraper for the stubborn spots.

    I hope this helps!

    Good luck!
