How do you remove the big steering wheel bolt under the horn button?

I cant seem to make it budge. I have a 71 Super Beetle

Get a thin walled 22mm 1/2 socket a 6 inch extension and a 1/2 ratchet.  Cut a pice of wood long enough to go from a steering wheel spoke and the floor.  Jamb it in there and turn it. You may need a pipe as a cheater bar..

Elbow grease... or I suppose you could try a little wd40 or PB blaster on it to help lube it up a bit... just a thought...

it will turn you have to bind the steering wheel ,or use an impact wrench on it that's the quickest way to get it off,its just on their really tight,good luck.

it will turn once you have turn the wheel as far as it will go just tight is all
