  1. hiya buy a bottle of jif, that will get it of with no trouble.x

  2.    Buy a bottle of silicone remover from srewfix

  3. These can be really stubborn to remove - have you tried bleach first? I've found that dousing the area with bleach and not scrubbing, just leaving it in place overnight does the trick. Sometimes scrubbing straight away doesn't give it enough time to permeate into the silicone.

  4. I had the same problem last year about a year after having a new bathroom fitted.

Like you I couldn't remove them until my central heating engineer who of course is also a plumber told me it was excess silicone and you cant scrub it clean. He took one of my small kitchen knifes and scrapped it off for me so that's what I do when it builds up again.

He said the reason for it was too much silicone was used when fitting and the excess had squeezed out round the plughole.

    Hope it works for you.
