How do you remove the salsa smell from a jar lid?

Question

I tried soap and water. no. tried soaking it in vinegar overnight. nope. Just boiled it for 15 minutes. nuh uh.

Any other ideas? ready to punt, but it's a nice jar and I just moved so need some nice jars lol.

Set it outside in the sunshine for the afternoon and that will get rid of it.

try soaking it in bleach water overnight. Works for all tomato stains on plastic and rubber

Get a new lid, you can't get the smell out because of the rubber seal.  If the lid is a standard jar lid, you can buy them at most stores in the canning section.  Otherwise, just pitch it, it won't come out.
