How do you remove the smell of smoke from your clothes?

My friend who is a big smoker borrowed my favourite jacket for a few days and she gave it back to me and it smelt of smoke. I washed it but the smell is still there! Any ideas?

Wash them.

Wash in normal washing cycle but add some eucalyptus oil to the wash - the natural antiseptic will rid of bad odours

put oxyclean on it or washing powder with a scent

Try adding a cup full of white vinegar to the rinse cycle.
