How do you remove your company from a spam perpetrator list?

My friend's job placement company just had their business submitted for spamming solicitation in response, they believe from a competitor, and he wanted to know how to remove their name from this list or rectify the situation.

after you visit the link check to see if your blacklisted, you can also find sites that check your mailserver domain. If any of the small circles at the side of the blacklist comain are red then your blacklisted. I was once blacklisted and had to apply to the blacklist site to be removerd but i had to check my server and make sure it wasnt acting as a relayer. Also i checked and made sure Authentication was required before i could be removed. Blacklissts have different requirements but after a while if you dont sort the problem out, ie if it keeps happening you cannot be removed. So make sure your mail server isnt a relayer and make sure authentication is required to use your mailserver. Thants all i know basically but it served me well, try e few diferent blacklist checkers to make sure.? good luck.

Usually you only end up on one of these lists if it is proven that the company has sent SPAM.  Do you have contact information from the list that you are on?  They will be able to show the proof of what determining factor was.  If they didnt have substantial proof, they would be sued all of the time!
