Question:

How do you repair laminate worktops?

my mum had some fitted a couple of weeks ago ...but there are a few chips in them... they are called carribean gloss and they are from wickes...everything we have tried looks stupid....thanks

If she paid someone to fit them call them back and get them to repair or replace.If that isn't the case i would suggest find an oil based colour that is the nearest surrounding the chipped piece,paint the chip only and leave to dry then use car spray, clear lacquer mask around the chip and spray a light coat allow to dry and build up until level.Patience is the key you might want to get in touch with th manufacturers to see if they have a repair kit available good luck.


  2. Use worktop joint sealant, get the same shade as the worktops.

    The same stuff used on the worktop 'invisible' corner joins. sets hard.

  3. you cant, any repair will show

    gloss shows every mark, its terrible
