How do you replace an 03 350z head lamp?

I really dont want to go to the dealer for this, so can anyone help me on how to replace an 03 350x head lamps (low beam). Also can i subsitute the HID Xenon lamps with the Hologen lamps? An do they have to be purchased through the dealer. thanks.

HID lamp assembly has a shutter that makes one HID bulb, low and High beam. So that is out besides transformers wiring is different.NOW DOWN TO WORK for regular beam replacement you will need to remove the front part of the fender inner liner. This is easier done with the wheel removed. loosened the inner fender pulled back you will notice a round gray plug cap on the back side of the head light mark the closed position with a marking pen twist anticlockwise till that cap stops place a second line open position and pull the cap off of its o ring unplug the wire going to the bulb unclasp the spring clip remove the bulb / Replace the bulb with the same wattage and replace the cap to the second line marked on the gray plastic cap and pushing in turn in clockwise replace the inner fender liner and replace the wheel tire Assembly torque the lugs to 90 FT#  (bulbs like Silvania Silver Star work great) Local Auto Supply. But then you'll want to replace both Brighter white color light. While under the car always use floor jack and place jack stands to hold the weight of the car. Jacks are only for lifting stands are for safety.
