How do you replace the Spark Plugs on a Mazda MPV 2000?

  1. The whole intake has to come off. It took me a couple of hours to do it. The speedo cable and cruise cable housing need to be removed. Behind that you will see two bolts holding on a metal tube. There is a metal gasket in there too so don't let it drop. After the manifold comes off, the job is easy. Just watch all the sensors that need to be disconnected. The little silver box by the radiator (IMRC)needs to come off too so you can hit the front plugs. That was the only way I saw to do it. Sounds like a lot, but it isn't bad. Unless someone has an easier way to do it without removing the manifold, thats the only way I saw to do it. Gap is .044
