  1. Not enough info, do you mean brake blocks, cable, complete brake set? what type of brakes are they, calliper?vee?cantilever?cable disc?hydraulic disc?

    If you don,t know the answer to these questions, then I don,t think you would be capable of doing the work safely, remember, your life is at stake, take it to your local bike shop, the professionals.


  2. It depends on the types of brakes you have.

    For Dual-Pivot brakes found on road bikes, it's simply getting an appropriately sized allen/hex key and unscrewing.

    It's the same for V and Cantilever/centre-pull brakes, but there's 2 bolts holding the callipers onto the frame.

    TBH I have no knowledge on disc/hydraulic brakes I'm afraid.
