My left rear side light is out. I've got the new bulb but I can't figure out how to remove the old one. So far, I've been able to take off the large plastic cover in the trunk. How do I get the socket out?

  1. If you get a Haynes Manual for the Make, Model and Year of you car, you can find out how to do it.

To get the socket out, turn it counter-clockwise and pull the socket out of its housing.  The bulb should come out in a similar manner.  Just push it in, turn it, and it will pop out of the socket.  Reverse the instructions to get the new bulb in and placed in it's housing.

  2. It's in the trunk.

  3. 1. Open the trunk.

    2. Take the plastic cover off.

    3. Turn the bulb socket counter-clockwise about 45 degrees and pull it out. (Make sure it's the right one =P)

    4. Pull the old bulb off the socket and push the new one in.

    5. Put the socket back and twist it back into place 'till it clicks.

Easy as that =P. Good luck.
