How do you replace the seal on a fridge door?

I discovered my fridge isn't very cold lately where as it used to practically freeze things. Anyway, it looks like its the door seal as it doesn't shut tight like the freezer below does (its a fridge freezer). We are taping it shut tonight with a thermometre in to see if it makes a difference and I have found the part online for £30. But, before I order it, is it easy to replace or do I need a professional in? I can't find any instructions online.

  1. It is so EASY to replace a Fridge Door Seal ! The one I changed had a series of little screws holding the Door seal to the Door all the way around the edge of the Door ! Look at the Door Seal to find the screws & undo them all & then fit the new Door Seal ! Start at the top s******g in the little screws gently so that the Door seal does not come away from the Door as you s***w in the screws further down around the Door ! Do not overtighten the screws ! They just need to be done up sufficiently tightly to hold the Door Seal flush with the Door all the way around the Door ! Job done ! Sit down & have a Cup of Tea !

  2. For most refrigerator's the door seal is held on by being pinched between the inner liner of the door, (the part with all the bottle compartments in it), and the actual outer frame of the door itself.  Usually you can lift the seal to find several philips head screws that will come out and release the inner shell so you can take the seal off of it.  Put the new one back on and reinstall the liner.

  3. I did one on ours years ago.  As Corky said, under the gasket is a bunch of screws.  I found it easier to remove the door and lay it on saw horses.  It made putting it back together easier.
