  1. Okay that is the easy part the phone co, does that just by asking for free.  I have been doing that for years , but guess what it means squat these days .  These days with Internet you can not keep your life private at all.  For a couple of dollars you can get a persons previous addressee and your family members names and addresses and plenty more. Check out people search and better then that intelius is pretty accurate once you get the hang of it.

  2. Ask for your telephone number to be unlisted.

  3. If you don't want your number or anything in the phone book or available through 411, you make your number non-published. If you don't want just your address published, ask  to have your address taken out of the directory. You have to pay to have a non-published number.  You can also request to make your number semi-private, your information will not be published in the phone book but it is available through 411.

Call your customer service office, the number is on your bill.

  4. Call the phone company that you have.

  5. Get a unlisted number
