  1. if you are asking about the "Maintenance Required Light" that comes on to advise you of the need for an oil change then you can reset that

    by following this procedure

    1) put the key into the ignition but do not turn it on.

    2) with one hand, push in and hold in the Trip Reset button for your odometer.  Continue to hold that button in

    3) as you're holding the button in, use your other hand to turn the ignition key to the ON postiion. you don't need to start the car, just turn it so that the instrument panel lights come on.  continue to hold the button in

    4) watch the maintenance required light as you continue to hold the trip reset button in.  after about 10-15 seconds the mainenance required light should go out.

    5) when the maintenance required light goes out, use your free hand to turn the ignition key to the OFF position.  when the key is turned OFF you can then release the trip reset button.

your reminder light will then be reset for 3,750 miles when it will come on again to remind you of your next required service.

    hope that helps

  2. i dont know what kind of civic u got but my 95 civic dont come with a reset oil light

  3. The Honda Civic 95 doesn't come with a maintenance light for oil changing.  You must be referring to the red engine oil malfunction light located above the yellow check engine light on your dashboard.

Inspect your engine oil dipstick to see your engine oil level.  If it is below the minimum line mark, add more engine oil (5 W30) to see if it helps clear your engine oil malfunction light.

If that doesn't help, change your oil and replace your oil filter.

If that still doesn't help, then you may have a problem with your engine oil pressure sensor or you may have an engine oil leak around your engine block.

    Good luck!

  4. you don't.  you put oil in the motor.

if the light stays on you might need a new oil pressure switch.
