How do you resize your pictures smaller so that you can add them to different personal sites?

Some of my pictures are too big to add them to different personal sites. How do you resize your pictures smaller? I've did this before, but I forget how I made my pictures smaller. Can you help me?

Im tellin ya this free program is really user friendly and it makes resizing a breeze. Its what I use anytime I dont wanna spend to much time in photoshop and still want quality results.
