How do you restore Antique Ceder box?

I just got this small antique Ceder box made by LANE. I would like to clean it, and make it come back alive like shine and everything. how do I do this? Thanks.

Take off all the old varnish with varnish remover.

Sand it down where needed, then refinish it with something

a little better, like polyurethane.
