  1. First, move all the old music from your iPod to your iTunes library. You can do that by doing the following:

First, your iPod must be enabled as a disk use. To do this, open iTunes and connect your iPod. Click on it on the left under "Devices". Check "Enable Disk Use".

Now, go to "My Computer" and find your iPod. It probably will be a F:/ or G:/ drive. Open it. You go to "Tools", which should be somewhere on the top bar. Go to "Folder Options", and go to the "View" tab. This will probably be on the top bar somewhere. The first sub-folder under the first folder should say "Hidden Files And Folders". Unhide hidden folders. Click on the "iPod_Control" folder. Open the music folder. The folders will say "F001, F002, etc". Drag them all into your iTunes library.

Once thats done, then just sync. The new and old music will go on.

  2. first unplug the ipod from the computer and reset it by pressing the menu and the center buttons until the apple appears.

then use tune ranger to transfer whats on the ipod to itunes

  3. go to the ipod page, the one that pops up when you plug it in. on the bottom section, there should be a series of checkboxes. Check manually manage music and hit apply. that way, when you plug it in, it won't auto sync and you can drag all your new music from the library to the ipod manually.
