How do you revitalize cork fishing rod handles?

How do you revitalize cork fishing rod handles?

rub them down with a very fine grade of glasspaper removing all the dirt then seal the handles to prvent further build up of dirt

i like to wash them in bleach and water....they come out clean and new looking....try it !!!

I like wrapping mine in tennis racquet tape.
