How do you revoke durable power of attorney in the state of missouri?

My Grandmother made gave somebody power of attorney and they are using it to cash in bonds and other things without her permission. She would like to know how to take away the power of attorney from that person.

She'll probably need a court order to surrender and revoke it.

Talk to a local atty or the clerk of the court.

She just needs to sign a statement revoking the power of attorney and/or appointing a new person with power of attorney and make sure a notarized copy is delivered to the former person with power of attorney. Of course, since he still has the old paperwork, you would need to contact any financial institutions where her information is held to let them know of the change.

She can revoke the Power of Attorney (provided she is competent to do so) with a simple form signed in front of a Notary or lawyer.

She should then have the revocation served on the person holding the POA and copies should be sent to all places where she holds investments, $, etc.

The key to revoking it is NOTICE.  You have to tell the person holding it, and tell anyone likely to be presented the Power.  Giving notice in a manner you can prove that they got it is adviseable (certified mail).
