  1. To ride a motorcycle:

The shifter is on the left side of the engine. 1st gear is all the way down, pull up on the shifter to 2nd, up again to 3rd....

Neutral is between 1st and 2nd gear, pull up or push down easy on the shifter with your toe or it will go past neutral, it takes practice to get it between 1st and 2nd gears into neutral.

Bikes don't shift if there is no motion in either the wheels or engine. If the bike is not running, rock it forward and back to shift. If its running just slip the clutch out a little bit to get the gears to rotate allowing them to mesh.

Put on all your safety gear before practicing. You don't want to conk your head on your first time, it will take all of the fun out of it.

In neutral, start the bike, pull in the clutch, click the shifter down  into 1st gear.

Twist the throttle a bit to raise the rpms, hands off the brakes. Let the clutch out slowly until you can feel the bike start to roll. This is the engagement point, practice getting the bike rolling then pull in the clutch and use the brakes to stop.... Do not take off and ride just yet. Practice the start maneuver first.

When you feel totally comfortable with the engagement point,  increase the amount of throttle a little more. Listen to the engine the revs will go up, now as you accelerate pull in the clutch and pull up on the shifter with your foot into second gear let out the clutch and accelerate and so on. Don't go to fast, now pull in the clutch and then down shift before you come to a stop and then practice using the brakes.

Good Luck and remember to be safe and have fun..

    can you drive a stick?

squeeze clutch click down once give gas slowly release clutch

rev it up a bit then squeeze clutch again then click the shifter up

then slowly release repast clicking up till at speed in the gear you want

    just dont red line it

  3. start the bike shift to first gear and give it gas and let the gas out and then after that just ride when the rpms get high pull in the clutch and shift up and when the rpms get low pull in the clutch and shift down

if you are riding for the first time try to keep in the low gears
