There is a short stretch of interstate I have to travel to get to work and they do not allow anything less than 400cc on interstates. I really want to save gas and money but buying a scooter. Any ideas?

  1. Very carefully!

  2. The engine size is not the requirement (400cc) to ride on any hwy.  I know of plenty of bikes and even large scooter that can do hwy speed.  That's all that matters.

You should look for 125cc or larger scooter.  They are still good on gas.

    Good Luck...

  3. Get a 250cc scooter: bit more expensive but can keep up with any traffic and still very economical. A 4 stroke 250 will last longer too: Suzuki make a nice one but there are many others to choose from.
