  1. Whatever works best for the team.  The coach usually decides this.

  2. Some strategies switch positions in the back row in a similar manner to the front row switches.

With 6-2 you have the setter coming out of the back row, so there are two players who need to switch to the left or right.

If your position in the front row was power, when you're in the back row you switch to the left side. If you position was middle you switch to the back right.

Switching for back row players isn't necessary as a player should be able to forearm pass from anywhere on the court. Unless you're playing advance volleyball, there isn't a need to add this complexity to your game.

  3. depends, which rotation ? theres quite a few.

  4. There are a lot of different alignments that your coach can use, so there is no one correct answer to your question.  If you aren't the setter, you will stay someplace in the back after receiving the serve.  After receiving a pass the back row players will be ready to "cover".  If you are back left and the ball is set to your side, you coach will usually want to move up to get the ball if it is blocked.  If the pass goes to the other side, you will probably get between the blocker and the left corner, but you won't move up too close.

This is probably a question that your coach will be able to help you with.  Think about exactly what you need to know, and pick out a time when you aren't interrupting drills to ask your question.  Coaches don't like a lot of questions, but they appreciate appropriate ones.
