  1. I've heard of boiling it.

  2. You can boil it and then if i remember correctly you can also bake it at like 300degrees but im not sure how long i think 10-20mins

  3. I have two baby slider turtles, and i put a few rocks in their tank that i got from  my backyard. I just rinsed it in water as much as i can, and got a sponge that was wet (with no soap on it) and just scrubbed to make sure all the dirt was gone. That's how i clean my rocks and plants. Hopefully this helped

  4. I have lots of snakes and we are all the time putting in pieces of drift wood that we found.  We always put ours in the oven for 350 degrees for approx. 20-25 minutes depending on how big the wood is.  It can burn so watch it.  Nothing can live in this extreme of heat that will hurt your animal.  The soap and water thing just don't get it.  Hope this helps.  Good luck!

  5. bake it at 250 - 275 F for 2 to 3 hours....that kills all the cooties and the oven temp is low enough that the wood wont catch fire.  all the same don't leave the house while the wood is baking.
