How do you save a web page with url address?

Question

In both Firefox and IE, there is no option that saves the url of the webpage (I have to do it manually; I give the file the same name as the url and it wastes my time as I have to delete the special characters). It shows the hard disk address but I want the complete web page address to be saved.

Tell me how to save the url address.

You click the site's favicon (the icon to the left of the address in the address bar) and drag that to your desktop or into a folder.
