I believe Bella is correct.

That's going off of my French knowledge and since they are close... It seems correct.

So...

if you want to say:

the beautiful italian (about a girl or a woman) = la bella italiana

a beautiful italian = una bella italiana

about the country, the beautiful italy = la bella Italia

but it isn't a very polite way to speak to someone...

beautiful barbie = la bella barbie (or bambola, if you don't mean the exactly barbie brand)

and Italian barbie = la barbie italiana
