The second one is very formal. There isn&#039;t really a can/may in Spanish, you use the verb &quot;poder&quot; (can) for everything, but if you want to be very polite, use the second one. The first one is correct also, and used more by Spanish speakers.

&quot;Por favor&quot; means please. Use it at the beginning or at the end or whichever sentence you chose to use, if you want.
