I've been talking to this lovely young asian woman lately (chinese if i'm going to be specific), and while her English is pretty good.. I'd like to say something nice in her native tongue, to get the point across better.

So yeah I was just wondering how to say goodbye beautiful in chinese.

Or even something remotely sweet/romantic as I part. As long as it's brief and to the point. Any suggestions and tips would be appreciated.

As well as how to say it correctly (pronunciate it). Because it could be the sweetest line ever, and it won't mean a thing if I butcher it.. haha.. Oh and english translations for any tips given. Don't wanna end up smacked across the face now. ;)

Thanks in advance.

  1. 再见了,美人 [Zai4 jian4 le, mei3 ren2] = Goodbye, beautiful...

  2. JAI JIEN, MEI LEE

  3. zàijiàn jīngcǎi de

                or

    zàijiàn měilì de

    prounounced exactly as they spelt.

    hope its right.

  4. There are numerous ways to get your points across... and reading some of the responses revealed that they are translating your word, but not your meaning...  although the above translations are phonetically correct, it is generally not how the words are used in your case...

    I would say something like:

    " Zai (4)  Jian (4),  xiao (3)  mei(3) ren (2)"

    good bye, little beauty.

the Xiao would make the sentence sounds more endearing and soften the whole noun, while mei(3) ren(2) specifies the subject as a beauty (as in person).

    hope these helps,

    good luck

  5. 再见美丽
