How do you say no and stand up for yourself?

I am writing an article about taking care of yourself during a personal crisis. Because emergencies take our time, saying no can save us when we are overwhelmed. Anyone have any unique ways they say no that I could share with my readers?

Thanks!

  1. Focus - it is all to do with focus. Strengths not weaknesses. Positivity not negativity. Tell others to try to focus for themselves on these things. Best wishes. UK

  2. just try to do it

  3. I generally just ask people if I can get back with them, after things have calmed down.  If they are not aware of my circumstance, I give a brief explanation as well, so they are assured I'm not just blowing them off.  They are generally understanding.  My family and friends know that when I say I am going to do something, I always follow through.  As for the outsiders, well, they learn.

  4. How about saying "I'm not interested" and just walk away with your nose in the air like you're the queen of the universe?
