  1. "Oh mon Dieu" and "la touche finale."


  2. Well, "Oh my god" would be "Mon Dieu!"  According to www.french-linguistics.co.uk "peaufiner" is a verb that means "to polish up or put the finishing touches to."  I would guess that any dirrect translation of finishing touches would be an Anglisisme...

    Wait, www.wordreference.com says "put the finishing touches on ___" translates as "mettre la dernière main à ___" so maybe I was wrong. :)  Zut!
