How do you say Little Mouse Shop in Japanese?

I'm coming up with a manga and that's what I want the name of a shop to be.

Also, what does Echigoya mean?

  1. i know that little or small is "chibi"

  2. "リトルマウスショップ"

  3. As Lloyd said, konezumiya is one option.  It implies (at least to me) that it's a shop selling baby mice.

For a small shop which sells mice, you could call it chiisana nezumiya.

Or, if you wanted to be cutesy, you could try chibi nezumiya.  A chibi, as you probably know, is the name for the character when they are drawn with small bodies and extra big heads for extra cuteness.  And nezumiya is mouse shop.

I could go on, but I'll finish with this:  shoppu (shop with a Japanese accent) is also a valid option.  Using English words is very trendy.  So you could have konezumi shoppu, chiisana nezumi shoppu, or chibi nezumi shoppu.

As for Echigoya, I can't tell without the kanji.  Sorry.

  4. I'm just using a dictionary and whatever grammar rules I can find, but I believe it would be: 見世の小さな鼠

    見世 (mise) = store

    の (no) = of

    小さな (chiisa na) = little

    é¼  (nezu) = mouse

  5. Konezumiya.  (co-nez-oo-mee-yaw)

    子ねずみ屋

That could be an option for "small mouse shop".

You're going to have to show the kanji for "echigoya" for me to tell you the meaning.  I can't tell just by the romanization.
