  1. Elles voulaient apprendre des ruses/astuces à leur tétards qui allaient devenir des grenouilles.

    l used "Elles" since l assume "They" are the mothers of their tadpoles.


  2. Ils/Elles voulaient apprendre aux têtards des artifices, qui, naturellement, allaient devenir des grenouilles.

    Use "Ils" if "they" refers to all guys (or a combination of girls and guys) and "Elles" if "they" refers to all girls.
