How do you say "You complete me" in Spanish and in Basque?

Hi Mitchiko, I guess that from previous aswers you know that in Spanish you can use:

Me completas

or

Tú me completas

Although as other answerer indicated maybe in Spain we use more:

"me llenas"

or

"tú me llenas"

and even though I know its not the same maybe we would even say

"Tú me complementas"

or

Me complementas

more than "tú me completas" since to complement you need at least two part/ies while one person alone can complete something.

I was going to send you my translation to Euskera but since it is quite complex and it is for something important I asked a basque friend about the translation and this is what he told me:

zuk betetzen nauzu,

means tú me llenas or you fullfill me

other option would be:

zuk osatzen nauzu,

this is the most literal but it sounds slightly strange because of what I explained before and this emphazises the act of completing (as from parts)

Yet both are correct. He said that in your particular case he would choose the first one. I also would.

You can also supress the Tú or zuk because in Euskera as in Spanish the verb already indicates the person/s involved Tú and Yo, so you can leave it out and just write:

betetzen nauzu - me llenas

or

osatzen nauzu - me completas

I think though the first option

zuk betetzen nauzu

sounds and reads nicer, but this is just my personal and biased opinion:

i don't know about basque but if you rent "jerry maguire" and put on spanish subtitles, you'll find your answer towards the end!

In Spanish, you can either say "Tú me completas" with accent on "tú" or simply "Me completas". Here the pronoun is not needed. However, look out for the context because it sounds a little weird in Spanish. We rarely say that. We would rather say "Me llenas".
