How would you say "a few weeks" in Japanese? Which is correct and fluent sounding 1) or 2)?

1) ni, san shuu kan (2、3週間)

2) futatsu no shuu (2つの週)

For example, if I want to say "I'm going to Japan for a few weeks" then which is better and fluent sounding 1) or 2)

1) futatsu no shuu, nihon ni ikimasu (2つの週、日本に行きます)

2) nihon ni itte ni, san shuukan gurai taizai shimasu (日本に行って2,3週間ぐらい滞在します)

  1. 1) ni, san shuu kan (2、3週間)

    2) futatsu no shuu (2つの週)

    1) is good. You could also say 数週間 (suushuukan) meaning some weeks.

    2) futatsu no shuu (2つの週)is not correct Japanese. It sounds like 2つ目の週, which means "the second week".

    So 日本に行って、2、3週間ぐらい滞在します。is good Japanese.

    Good luck.

  2. Futatsu no shuu I think is, "two weeks."

Which, a few or a couple can mean "two."

    1. For two weeks, I am going to Japan.

    2. I am going to stay in Japan for about two or three weeks.

I don't think it really matters.

I spent an hour googling this.

Another result I got for futatsu (which means two) is

    "そのりんごを二つに切ってください"

I don't know how to pronounce it, but the website said it means, "cut the apple in 2 please."

So, the 1st example is I am going to Japan for two weeks. That means you know exactly how long you are going to stay in Japan. Most people do as they buy round trip tickets when visiting some where. At least I do, it's cheaper.
