How do you say "beef tongue" in Egyptian Arabic? ?

Assalaam aliakum,

lol, I know this is a weird question, but I need to go out and try to find some in a few minutes, and I don't know any Arabic. I'm in Cairo. Do you know how to say it?

Do Egyptians eat beef tongue? Will it be something hard to find?

  2. it is called , lissan ba'ery .

    you will find it in big supermarkets in the section where they sell luncheon.

    Lesan is pronounced like megan, lesan means tongue

    ba2ara is pronounced like mmmm i dont know lol, but tell anyone I want to eat the lesan el baaaaraaaaaa (2 pronounced as first o from oops)

    2.Egyptians do eat beef tongue and it won't be hard for you to find it but, buffalo tongue is more available and, they taste almost the same.

    buffalo means "gamosy" that makes its "lesan gamosy"!
