How do you say "dude"?

Hi, I've heard people saying this word "dude" in 2 ways: one is "due"+d. And the other one is "do"+d. Which one is right?

  1. Dude is a universal word. It has different meanings depending on how you say it.

    Rob Shneider did a great routine based the word "dude".

    Look for it on You Tube. I'd post the link but they have it blocked at work.

  3. Dude!! I seriously have found that it varies where you live in the US. I originally grew up in California, where it is mostly pronounced, "Due-d". But then I moved to Ilinois 3 years ago, where I assumed I'd never hear that word. haha, I was wrong, my boyfriend and his friends say it a lot. They say it "Doode".

    I hope that helps explain it for you. :-)
