I'm looking for a name for a band who's members are all related. One member suggested The Hypalites. Does that mean family? Or something similar in meaning would be good too. Thanks a lot every one.

  1. Metis is the groupings of people who are half Native and half French. Now of course it can mean half Native and all other creeds/races/nationalities.

Is there a specific band or Nation's language you are looking for? Metis could ba any of them, and they generally did not have their own language.

**The term Metis means a person of mixed Native and French  (typically French Canadian) blood. That could be any of Canada's different bands and nations. There are a couple hundred in Ontario alone. Which area are you in? That might help to narrow down which Nation.......
