My cousin is 100% German and he can speak english. He was teaching me random things like "this is fun" and "kitchen cabinet". i've tried several translations and it's not the same as what he said. He said "this is fun" was something like... das ist slusteek. and kitchen cabinet was "huheehashlee". i just want to know how to spell it, i just know how it sounds.

  1. [das ist slusteek] : "das ist lustig"

[huheehashlee] : maybe "Kuchenkästchen" : '(little) kitchen chest'

  2. this is fun = das ist lustig (loosteek)

kitchen cabinet: depends where he comes from, the official version would be Küchenschrank or Küchenkasten but he might have some kind of local dialect so it could be Küchenkästle or Küchenkäschtle (some regions in germany pronounce the "s" more like English "sh") or eben Kuchlkastl if he is from Austria or Bavaria

  3. -this is fun: either "das ist lustig/witzig" or "das macht Spaß" (when you're talking about something that you enjoy)

-kitchen cabinet: "Küchenschrank" in standard German. "Chuchichäschtli" is Swiss German. For a non-Swiss speaker it's nearly impossible to pronounce it right, even if they are fluent in (standard) German. So this word is often used as a "Shibboleth" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shibboleth ).
