How do you say thank You for Money?

We recently got married and most of our guests gave us cash and checks for gifts.What is a tactful way to thank you for money without sounding rude?

  1. I did the same for a recent wedding couple.  They wrote a thank you card and said they had plans to use the money to furnish their new home.  It was very nice of them.


  2. i just got married also, & had the same problem! i just put "thank you so much for the wedding gift-it spent very well on our honeymoon........" worked good for me!

  7. Let the giver know what the money was spent on. My mother used to give small amounts of money to my young sons, as she did not know what was the latest rage for little guys. I always had the boys write a thank you note, explaining how they had used the money.

  8. Just say thank you for your gift, you don't need to say that it's money, they know what they gave you.

  9. Simply state "we thank you so much for your gift, it was thoughtful and very much appreciated" - that's what we put on our wedding thank you's...

  10. Thank you for the check or the money.  We will put it towards.....

    Or, thanks for the generous monetary gift!  You are so kind to think of us on our special day.
