  1. My German is pretty bad so I can't really help with that. But Germany is part of the EU so yes, they use Euros. :)

  2. You can go on www.freetranslation.com and type in your story and it will translate the whole thing into German for you. We are American and living in Germany and though the language is beautiful it is hard for me to get the hang of it. I use this website to lend me a hand.

Good luck with your paper :)

  3. Mädchen

    Junge

    Aschenputtel

    Auto

    Curry wurst & Pommers

    Rühe ei

Aber you say you are German can you not ask your perents for help ?

  4. The answer above is rather perfect.

If you're making up a Cinderella version you may find the following expressions useful as well:

    Stiefmutter / Stiefschwester (stepmother/ stepsister)

    gute Fee / (good) Ferry

    Prinz / prince

(gläserner) Schuh / shoe (of glas)

  5. 1 Mädchen madch*en    ch is like scottish loch

  6. Mädchen

    Junge

Aschenputtel (you could also say Cinderella - thanks to Disney, everyone knows Cinderella here as well)

    Auto

    Feuer

Aufräumen (like cleaning up your room... for mopping or so it's putzen)

    Geschirr

for breakfast: Brötchen (bread rolls), Brot (bread), Marmelade (jelly), Mortadella (a kind of sausage in think strips), Kaffee (coffee)

for lunch: I don't think there are any really typical lunch meals.

for dinner: Schnitzel, Salat (salad), Nudeln (noodles), Spätzle (a special kind of noodles), Kartoffeln (potatoes)

Other common words... I have no clue what you mean. Try sending me an e-mail with a list of other words if you can think of more.

EDIT: And yes, we do use Euros, even though being a member of the EU does not necessarily mean you use Euros. (England for example doesn't)

  7. omg, don't listen to the one above me, those translation websites make no sense at all, I hope you know that.
