Question:

How do you say this in russian?

I know russian has a WHOLE different alphabet. Please someone who actually speaks the language, type in the pronunciation of:

"I know what you are saying" or "I understand what you are saying"

(Why? Because there are two ukranian kids in my class who constantly speak ukranian/russian and i want to freak them out.)

thanks!

  1. I know what you are saying - Ya znAyu a chyom vi gavarEEte

    I understand what you are saying - Ya panimAyu shto vi gavarEEte

    P.S. And "pogorovka" is "saying" (a noun), but it doesn't suit in the sentence as a verb

  2. i am russian/ukrainian!

    "i know what you are saying"- ya znayou chto vi govoritye.

    "i understand what you are saying"-ya ponemayou chto vi govoritye.

    *i suggest you say the second one, because then they will think you are russian since you "understand", but if you say "know" then they wont get the fact that you may possibly understand or know russian, and that you are just guessing what they are saying.

    -btw-russian doesn't really have a big difference in alphabet than english.

  3. "yah znayoo" = I know

    "schtow" = what

    "tee" = you (single person)

    "vwee" = you (plural

    "pogorovka" = pretty close to the phrase "are saying"

    hopefully the way i spelled it out works when you say it out loud
